About
Gaspar Sánchez works as a Medical Physicist in the Araba Integrated Health Organization since 2011. He has been involved in several projects as well as in the innovation strategy of the Bioaraba Health Research Institute since its foundation. At present, he is responsible for various projects related to Augmented/Mixed/Virtual reality and Artificial Intelligence. He also leads the development of an application for conducting biopsies using Mixed Reality, recognized with the FIPSE-Massachusetts Institute of Technology Innovation Award in the 2017 IDEA2 Global program.
He is currently responsible for Augmented and Virtual Reality Group in the Medical Technology Innovation Platform ITEMAS of the Institute of Health Carlos III of the Spanish Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities.
