Matti
Ahlqvist

Matti Ahlqvist is Site Director of the AstraZeneca Gothenburg site. In this role, Matti is leading the Gothenburg site strategy and activities towards the vision of becoming one of the best R&D sites in the world. Matti is also representing AstraZeneca Gothenburg in towards external stakeholders.

Matti has a Master of Science in Physical Chemistry from Gothenburg University and an executive MBA from School of Business, Economics & Law at Gothenburg University. Matti joined AstraZeneca in 2000, he has a broad scientific interest with his primary background from Pharmaceutical Development where he has held a number of line and project management roles throughout the whole drug development value chain. Most recently, he has worked with building patient focused digital health capabilities at AstraZeneca in the Intelligent Pharmaceuticals team.
